Comment: Having been absent from Commando Forces since 1992, I commissioned a coin for my old Battery; for presentation to them on my last day in harness. The 79 (Kirkee) Cdo Bty coin is superb. Very understated, it's simple colours and contrasts work well. The text is clear; even the Battery lament on the back. The weight and texture suggest quality as does the nickel plating. Thanks to the team at UK Challenge Coins for the hard work. But that's what Sappers are supposed to do. Isn't it? Bigfoot |
